"How do you know when the silver is fully refined?"
He'll tell you that it's done when you can see your reflection in it.'

Hey guys! Hope you guys have been great... I know I have been, even though I have to be away from home (Malaysia in case some of you don't know), I feel as though I AM at home right now in Melbourne! :)

I know it's been forever since I've posted something... But I really felt that I needed to post this up - which was the sermont Pastor Sam preached just 2 days ago. It really touched my heart and I don't want you guys who weren't here to miss it. Because it really moved me.

Okay, basically the title's called Giving Yourselves Completely to God. It is just a very simple thing. We should all know that God loves us so much that He gave His only Son Jesus to die for us right? But deep down, do you truly know that God? Do you actually have that kind of relationship with Him?

Romans 6:12-14 "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace."

(And more for deeper reading: Psalm 69:9, Matt 19:16-24)

Are there areas in your life and heart where you have locked away and thrown the key away? It may be that hurt or pain or suffering or sin or whatever it may be, don't hold it back. God sent Jesus to die for us for a reason. He wants to take away all our burdens. Not some, but all!

Matt 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ' Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!"

This may sound weird to you. At first, Jesus died for us and shows how much He loves us. But at the same time, He doesn't recognise us. He even said He never knew us. Why?

It is because we never actually had that relationship with Him. We may be serving in church or "doing things" for God and be so involved, but still don't have that intimate relationship with the Saviour.

We want to be a church which believes that Jesus is our everything. He is all we've got. We shall be a church who doesn't want position or recognition or whatsoever - we just want to be close to Him. It is all about having a whole-hearted devotion to Him.

Now read this many Scriptures (if you truly love Him, you would want to) :-

Eph 2:4-5, Phil 2:9-11, Romans 5:8, Isaiah 26:3, Eph 1:6-7, 2 Cor 5:21, 2 Cor 3:17, 1 Cor 1:9, Eph 5:1-2, John 15:15-16, Gal 4:6-7, Isaiah 43:2, John 10:27-29, 2 Cor 9:8, Psalm 107:9, Phil 4:19

If you have read them all, your heart must be filled with joy. And at the same time, there is that ache in your heart - because you have learnt to acknowledge how much He truly loves you. And that we ache to be closer to Him.

What more can you ask for? What more could we possibly need?

Just give ourselves completely to Him. Every area of our lives - our relationships, finances, thoughts, studies, our homes our possessions and everything and anything.

This is just a challenge for each of us. Okay, don't take it as a challenge. Do this only because you want it. You want it so much - to be close to God. And to depend wholely on Him only.

This will be an incredible year for us. I believe that there is so much in store for us. It will bea year filled with seeds, plants and even fruits! :) COME EXPECTING!

"I came back, because it was the will of God for me to live with my children. But I would be very happy to go back there. Now I have seen when a Christian dies, he goes to a better place…."

Fatuma Shubisa(Ethiopia)—Fatuma Shubisa, had married an evangelist, and had converted to Christianity from Islam. But the Ethiopian mother-of-nine fell sick and, after some time, she was found to have passed away by her mother who had come to care for her. (Photo: CBN)

There was great mourning in the small village of Alelu, as Fatuma's death was made known among friends and family members. But word of Fatuma's passing also reached the ears of a Christian missionary named Warsa Buta, who was in the area.

Acting on a promise he says the Lord gave him the day he was saved—that God would raise the dead through him—Buta sought out the deceased woman.

A non-Christian crowd gathered as Buta the missionary continued to pray over Fatuma's sheet-covered body. They asked, "Why is this Pentecostal man praying over a dead body?"

Warsa related what happened next, "I had faith the Lord would work through me. I prayed as Peter prayed. 'Fatuma, be raised. I ask you in the name of the Lord. Come to life.' When I prayed that prayer—'Fatuma, rise in the name of Jesus'—she sat up in the bed."

It had been 12 hours since Fatuma had died.

"…Immediately I found myself in my body," explained Fatuma, "I sat up in my bed and started asking, 'What is this? What's happening? What's going on?' Then everybody was surprised. Some were commenting, 'A Pentecostal man can call back a dead soul to a body? If this is real, then we all will become Christians.' And they were shouting."

During the time she was deceased, Fatuma apparently experienced some wonderful glimpses of Heaven, and of family members who had gone before, which she talks about on the CBN video report.

Hi guys, Happy New Year! Although to be honest it's 6 days late. Too busy gobbling food and Planetshakers Conference. Oh Man, it was awesome. But don't fret. Next year, Shakers Conference Revolution would be held in April. Thus, all University students would be able to attend.

Just wanted to stir you guys, that tonight (5th Jan) was the last night for the Shakers Conference, and Pastor Judah Smith blessed and prophesied over the all the leaders, especially Youth & High School Pastors. The word God gave him was Genesis 15:5

Genesis 15:5 Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!”. 6 And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord counted him as righteous because of his faith.

The issue he wanted to talk about, is our perception, our view on what God is doing. If you read Genesis chapter 15, Abraham was sitting inside his tent. And he even complained to God, when God gave him a promise. The manner in which he talked to God by retorting in verse 2 that he doesn't have a Son was a wrong attitude. So God brought him outside the tent.

This is such an amazing sermon in line with what Pastor Russell said the morning the day before, to dream big. Let us dream with God. Let us step outside the tent of what life has been dishing out to us, what life has been showing us. Let us take on the perception of God, and dream with him. Let us step outside the tent, see the stars, that is our promise. And to every word the Lord promises, it will come to pass.

Galatians 3:6 In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”7 The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God. 8 What’s more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would declare the Gentiles to be righteous because of their faith. God proclaimed this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, “All nations will be blessed through you.” 9 So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.

Pastor Judah Smith then prayed a prayer of blessing and called for all the Youth Pastors to come forth, and prophesied that there will be a 2000 people ministry. I don't know if he was only referring to a Youth Ministry like Boom, but heck, I'll take that for PlanetUni.

PlanetUni is touching 500. 2000? All things are possible in Christ.

Guys, get ready for a wild ride in 2008. I can see that there will be tired hands, tired legs, tired eyes. There will be some of us, who will be juggling work, university studies and truth be told, it's the final year to some of us! (Hehe, I've been there, done that!), then PlanetUni activities, like our monthly outreach programs, serving in Church and Urban Life will still go on.

And some of us will feel bummed out, even wondering to ourselves whether is this all worth it?

But fear not, Isaiah 40:31 "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles.They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."

We serve a great and mighty God, and it is by His Grace that would empower us to do above and beyond what we can imagine, if we falter not but continue to press in. His burden is easy, his Yoke is light.

Let us continue to be faithful and passionate labourers planting seeds in the field called "peoples lives". :)

The Gift - Merry Christmas!

Hi guys, just want to wish you all Merry Christmas and have a awesome new year!

Although I know that it's technically not really the day that Jesus was born on, some historical theological scientists say it could however be around the day where Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit (thereabouts) as the Shepherds were outside at night so it's too cold in Israel for them to be outside, and the historical date of the census during the time of Herod was during a certain phase of the year. So Jesus couldn't have been born in December, But enough of technicality.

As we all eat eat eat, let us not forget as well the significance of this special event is all about. We may give gifts to each other, but let us also be reminded about God's greatest gift to us, Jesus Christ.

That he may come to us as a baby, to live among us, and ultimately to be the ultimate sacrifice that tore down the veil from up to down, that we may enter boldly into the Holy of Holies by the blood of Jesus poured out for us. (Heb 10:19).

Let us celebrate Christmas with rejoicing for his perfect wonderful gift. That truly God loves us, even if we were the only person on the planet, Jesus would still come down and die for you. There are no 2 snowflakes the same, no 2 people, our fingerprint, our iris, there is no two the same. God in all his omnipotence and love for us have designed you and given you something special only for you. A hope, a future, and a destiny fulfilled through Christ working in us continually changing us to be more like him. To be great men and women of God, to make a difference, that we shall be in one accord Planetshakers.

So rejoice rejoice rejoice brides of Christ being forever remindful of our fathers perfect gift. For we are a people moved by love, moving in love towards the author of love.

Romans 8:38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So, Eat eat eat, and hopefully lose all the weight off when you get back to Melbourne by jumping up and down and dancing like theres no tomorrow every sunday in church.

Thanks again Daddy God! for this wonderful perfect Gift. For God So Loved The World, that HE GAVE his ONE and ONLY SON. (John 3:16) Your wonderful perfect gift. All for me. Because you love me. Thanks Again Dad!

Hello everybody far and wide,
we are all scattered around the world now, well..sort of.

I’m leaving on the Friday, and ever since like 2 months ago I have been counting down the days. Now that the day is closing in, I am rushing to do everything that I need to do before I go. Meeting up with people, planetkids things, clean up room, packing up the house and the sort.

I was just reading Psalm 39 just now. This is what is says

Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered
And that my life is fleeing away.
My life is no longer than the width of my hand
An entire lifetime is just a moment to you
Human existence is but a breath.

See how david says, my days are numbered.

That particular line jumped out at me.
I realized that I hadn’t started counting down like 7 months ago to when I was going home, it was just too far away and I wasn’t even sure when I was actually going to leave. Then it came to being just 2 months and the flight was booked, and I started numbering my days, counting down. Rushing right, rushing left. I knew now that I had limited time.

That line reminded me that, in God’s eyes, All our lives are numbered.
Whether we live for 40 more years 80 more years or 100 more years, God already knows
when we are going back Home. He’s just waiting for Us to realise that sooner than it seems, our time will be up, and we will be standing at the judgement table.

‘ What did you do with the time I gave you?’

See if we let it sink in, how short a time we have here, we’ll be rushing to get things done.

Saving our family, saving our friends.

Announcing the truth, spreading the gospel.
Letting go of this messed up world.

Take a moment, let it sink in.
But not too long

cos the clock is ticking.

Hey urbies..

God showed me something the other day.
I've begun to see what it means.

The unsaved, (our previous selves), are like people in a big black box.
Everything's dark. But you don't realise you're enclosed in this thing.
You don't know that there is actually something outside this dark covering.

And then somebody comes along and shares a little about Jesus to you.
When that happens, its like a hole is being punched into your box.
You begin to see a glimpse of the light from outside.

For some, they take a step towards the hole to explore what is there.
Some get so absorbed by it, they push through the remainder walls of this box.

Others may not like the change.
They try to ignore the light, they look away, they shut their eyes.
But the hole is still there. They try to live with it.

Yet others may have situations that build up the thickness of this black box.
The hole hasn't done much damage, its just a small puncture.

But I believe that if we push on, continue to share, continue to testify, what we are doing is punching more holes into their black box.
We are building that bridge between God and the unsaved.
One day, all walls will rupture.
And when that day comes, the light will be too comforting, too bright and joyous to ignore.
Heaven will sing as yet another child of God is set free.

Look around you,
How many people are living unaware of the better life?
Don't be selfish.

Share the freedom.
Go punch your holes and have an awesome week.

i was just talking to joanne abt exams , how close they are and also, what ive to revise thru essentially. i was pretty ok with everything else until i got to French. i just thought "french's french, its asian me trying to study a european language, what can you expect?"

God immediately rebuked me for having a "defeatist" attitude and He wants me to ask and believe for my results, for all subjects. by faith, ill ask for a H2A average and start to draw strength from Him.

" Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God" Ps 20:7

so yup, have you asked and start to believe God for what He can do with the coming exams? or even the exams that have just passed? :D

The Peace of God

Hi Guys, we are amidst study-period and some already are about to start their exams (like me next week).

So before you start panicking, just want to encourage you guys with the word of God.

Phillipians 4:6 - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Don't panic, don't be anxious, don't worry. But in everything, by prayer and petition with THANKSGIVING! Come to God not with a negative attitude that there is no hope and you'll be lucky if you just scrape through, but with a Faith believing in the best, that the wisdom and understanding of Christ will be in you, upon your heart, and upon your mind to do above and beyond in your exams.

God bless! Okay, back to studies for me. :P

Just another quick word.
I want to share this word that God dropped into my heart ahwile ago.

Do you remember what an antenna is?
Long long ago, in prehistoric times there used to be this thing called handphone-with-retrabtable-antennas.
Remember those?

Did you realise how similar we function?
When we don't extend our antennas, we'll only be picking up signals form people here and people there and then, there's the devil too.
This is when and why things start getting fuzzy and unclear,
everything just seems to be going the wrong way!

We musn't forget, that we have this thing sticking out of our heads that can be extended to push far beyond this earth and into heaven, where we will be picking up DIRECT signals from God Himself!
This is when and why things will start falling into place before you.

When you find that you're under so much pressure, and you really need to swim to the surface to breatthee....remember, that you've got this handy thing that is so easily accesssible, the devil just keeps trying to retract it.

So yea,
Just a friendly reminder to extend your antennas and pick up the right signals.

"Hey do you know that girl/boy (referring to you)?..Oh my gosh do you know what a Holy freak he/she is? Goes to chuch Every single week! Doesn't club, doesn't do Anything fun!"

How would you feel?

Okay if you havent watched evan almighty and want to watch it and a spoiler would totally ruin everything, don't read the following post =)

Today I got the chance to sit down and watch Evan Almighty.
It's a pretty good movie i thought, especially with the way it made me consider some issues.

There was a scene where Evan first sees 'God' and goes, "Do i know you?"
God says, "Not as well as I hope"

Wow, when He said that, it totally blew my mind away.
First thought was, my gosh, will God say that to me?

Have I done enough for Him?
Would I build Him an ark?
Even if He sent all the materials and all I needed to build it, to my doorstep?

If God wrote me a letter to respond to that question, i think this is what He would say.

I'm not asking you to build me an ark,
I'm asking you to tell the world that I am God, that I can give them what they always seem to be searching for - real life.
All the materials you could possibly need will be sent to you.
Find enclosed in your spirit, My spirit.
I will guide you every single step of the way.
But now let me ask you, Will you do it?

Its really mind boggling how easily we fall back to the patterns of the world.
*I hear a round of 'yea's

Hahah i hate to be the spoiler for all those who havent watched the movie, but You'll still enjoy it after reading this I'm sure. =)
There was a scene, where Evan's wife gets edgy about the whole God-told-me-to-build-an-ark thing and says, This has Got to stop. It's ruining our lives.
Doesn't that remind you so much of us?
How sometimes when we stand up to do something for God, somebody comes along and tells you to stop, its going to ruin your life.
But Evan didn't stop, even when his family left him, he didnt stop.
He built the ark, and when eventually the flood came - on a SUN SHINY day I might add, everybody was saved.

See what obedience brings us?
It may ruin the life you Think you had, but you have No idea what He has prepared for you after that.

I know how easy it is to say, Yes I will do what You ask, send me and I will go
but when it comes to actually standing up for Christ....

Will you be the one to stand when everyone else refuses to?

Have a think about it.

The Secret Place

I'm just amazed by Him more and more each day and it's just so important to spend time with Him. Quiet time is crucial you guys! DO IT. Why? Because:

1) We are created to have intimacy with Him. That's the number one reason He created us!
.:. Draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you .:.

2) When we seek Him in that secret place, He reveals His glory and His innermost desires for
our lives.
.:. Throughout the Bible, men&women of God always spend their lone time with God, be it on the
mountains or in the desert. And what is the outcome? Take Moses&Jesus. They descend from the
mountains so immersed in His presence&glory that even the disciples can't recognise their faces! Let's
imitate them, catch hold of that spirit they have..the desire to have intimacy with the One who SO loves
us :] Let's hold on to this revelation of the purpose of what we were created for.

3) The breakthroughs in your life is a function of your quiet-time consistency.
.:. Which is why prayer meets are so important. The reason why we have prayer meets is not just
something we want to fill your schedules in, to make everyone look more "holy" for the week. Prayer
meets are like the check-out points of the things we've been praying for throughout our personal quiet
time.

To further explain, when we do our quiet time, it's like you going to safeway, each aisle represents each
day. Each item from each aisle represents the various prayer points you've made per day. And you
accumulate til your basket is full then you check-out at the counter. That's when we have prayer meets.
It's the counter.
That's where we get all those miracles and breakthroughs. Yes, in safeway we pay and then it's ours.
But remember Jesus has already paid the price! So when we are diligent in our quiet times, and take
initiative to go to prayer meets, that's when the prayer is answered, the breakthroughs come, that's when
you see lives changed, souls restored and hearts set free!

Some of us are too caught up browsing at unnecessary things
that we don't need til we don't leave the place..we waste the time,we get tempted at say,the junk food
section. That is why when we pray for the things we want but not what He wants, but we still persist, the
Bible says God actually gives it to us out of our selfish desires. It satisfies temporarily but in the long run,
it damages us. Exactly like junk food. It's bad for our body. Then we put the blame on safeway for selling
all these junkfood with super discounted prices. How many times have we put the blame on God when
we've been persistent in the things that are bad for us in His eyes? But He gives it to us because He knows
it'll bring you back to your senses even though it may take awhile, depending on how teachable your
heart is!

So come on brothers and sisters in Christ! Press forward and step into that secret place because you know that all's been said above is the reality which is a reflection of the supernatural! Love you all heaps! *hugs*

Pastor Russell Evans - Releasing faith through words. 9th September 2007.

Genesis 1:5-26 - "God said" God says, God releases faith through words.
Everything that has been established is by our words, even salvation (Romans 10:9). Thus we should always make "our words HIS WORDS"

1) Words Create -> With your mouth confess him into your life, by declaring it by your words.
"Russel your a champ, his words create who I am, in me, he build a desire to touch God. Let your words declare what God says about what he wants to do in you.

2) Words build up or pull Down -> Declare words of hope and not hopelessness. Speak hope into hopelessness. The very thing God calls you to be, the devil tries to pull it down. Live in the position of blessing by your words. Words build you up.

3) Decide which words you listen to. Live a life built up on the inside. Word of God builds.

Proverbs 18:21 - Death & Life of the power of the tongue. Those that love it will eat its fruit.
Job 27:4, Psalms 34:30, Psalms 37:4, Psalms 45:1, Proverbs 6:16, Proverbs 10, Proverbs 12:7, Proverbs 15.

The Tongue has POWER.

4) Our words represent what our thoughts & dreams are. Declare the favour, peace, release your faith through your words.

5) Our words come from the heart. Speak words filled with heavenly words.
Luke 6:34 - The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

6) Words create atmospheres. Get filled with God, let your words declare heaven. Your brings atmospheres. Throw out word of hate from your life. Get in the words of God. Out of your heart, create atmospeheres of life and not death.
"Angry words create awkward atmospheres"

Testimony means marturia or "Do it again". Everytime we have a testimony we are "Doing it again".

Let us be people who constantly talk about what God is "Doing again" in our life. Look every moment to be a testimony. By the time we get into prayer we go "Amen!"

8) Gods words bring destiny into reality.
Jeremiah 1:5 - "Before I formed you in the womb I knew ^[a] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

The other night, when I had TWO MOTHS take over my room and left me sleeping in the living room for the night, I asked God why He made moths.
No offence, but they're icky!

Yuck man!!! saving that picture off the net already gives me goosebumps!
I feel like swatting my computer screen....*sorry God

but know what's cool about them?

Moths are attracted to Light

Know whats Not so cool about them?

They don't fly directly to the light. They CIRCLE around the light source.
Imagine if You see Jesus, you run towards His direction, and then just go around and around and aorund and around and around and around Him...when His hands are outstretched wanting you to come DIRECTLY to Him.
Rarrr silly silly moths.
Don't folllow the moths.

Let us instead follow the pretttyy flooweers =)

How they FEED on the light of the world.
How they are ALWAYS looking at the source of light.
How they die =( without the light.

We're already so much like them.
The leaves that get more sunlight are greener, and brighter.
People who get the touch of God are happier and radiant-er too!!

But the thing about trees is that, Some part of a tree Always gets less sunlight.
But there's so Much God to go around, Nobody has to be malnutritioned!
It all comes down to making that decision to reach out for Him.

SO....what will it be?

Hey you all my loves,

This week's Urban Life is at the same venue, but on WEDNESDAY instead. Remember, it is NOT Thursday. It is 7.30pm at Derek's place, which is Unit 409 at Concept Blue Apartments, corner of La Trobe and Russell Street in the city.

Wanna stir you guys to think of that one person that you wanna call. We are believing in another multiplication by the end of this year! It can definitely happen if all of us believe in that relevation and take the extra step. We should step out of our comfort zones, always reminded by Pastor Matt. :)

Come on guys! We can all do it!

Anyway we are having proper dinner for everyone this Urban Life. We girls are gonna cook dishes with rice for you guys :) We are hoping that it will be something special for each of us.

And one more thing, wanna encourage each and every one of you to attend True Relationships this Thursday night evening (that is why our Urban Life shifted to Wednesday just this week). I am sure we will be able to listen about what God has in store for us in the area of relationships in our life!

Relationships - with God, with parents, siblings, cousins, friends, unsaved friends, boyfriend/girlfriend and even to your dog (quoted from our boss hahahaha). All the different relationships, we need to understand and learn to handle them all in Godly ways!

It's been done

At the beginning of the year, or rather, at the beginning of the new Thursday UL, Daniel had us write what we wanted to achieve by end of the year, both for UL and for ourselves.

What I had written for UL was to see my friend back there with us, and she came along to UL the week after that, although at this moment she's not a regular member of UL. But the fact that she hasn't completely blocked Him out of her life, and that she still depends on Him to some extent, really boosts my hope. I know that He is still working on her.

For the other part of the so called 'assignment', I wrote that by end of the year, I want to no longer have that doubt that I was meant to be studying architecture.
Today, the 31st of August 2oo7, I receive revelation!
I think of architecture now, and that fear is gone. In its place is excitement, wonder and the 'can't wait' feeling (I can't think of a single word for that!! Rarr!).
I can't wait to see how God will use me!
In all things big or small, I know that He will provide a path for me because it is His will that I am doing this course. He's already been guiding me all along, but i've just been too blind to see.
The world has that effect on us.

I hope that each of us will learn to see past this wall that the world has created in front of us. There's so much more to life than just going to Uni and getting good grades. We're on a mission trip here on earth to carry out His will although a lot of the times, we get so easily distracted.
Anyway. I'm just here to remind you about that 'so called assignment'... =D

4 Dimension - Thoughts, dreams, faith & words

Re-Cap - 7 things to build your faith
1) Praise every morning
2) Study the word of God
3) Be around people who would build and encourage your faith

4) Pray through, until your icy heart has melted past the unbelief. Continue to pray until you believe.

5) Take out "I'm" from impossible. Ask THROUGH him. It is not methods that miracle happens, its through belief. Get "Me" out of the equation.

6) Speak in tongues, build up your internal to take external expression. You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. Acts 2:2

7) Start taking steps of faith. Faith without works - James 2:17
There's always a risk in giving. When you say "God bless me" lets take a tithe and offering. When you believe that the Kingdom of God is in faith, do it. But "What happeneds if I go?" People will be saved. Pray for the laborers, not for the harvest. (Luke 10:12). We have to be people of faith.

Step out in faith, and see God comes through. Be a church of "Amen, lets do it".

The Holy Spirit
John 16:7 -16; But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

12"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

16"In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me."

Jesus was limited in the Flesh, but the Holy Spirit is everywhere and in us.

The Holy Spirit is manifested in 3 different ways.
1) Manifest by Fire.
a) Fire Purifies - God destroys the work of the devil by fire Burns up all the rubbish
1 Kings 18:18 - Elijah vs Baal worshipers. Burn up the Bull.
b) Fire guides - Pillar of fire by night
2) Manifested by Wind. Acts 2:2 - Suddenly a violent rushing wind.
a) Wind breaths Life Ezekiel 37:4-7
b) Wind Guides into the direction you need
3) Manifest like Oil.
Healing, Anointing, Power, Gladness, Joy & Salvation

How great is Our God

Hi, it's me.

Just a thing to add on to the urban life we had.

We live in a world where idealism is dead.
We have come to an understanding that the world is not perfect, that regardless of how hard we try, there is only so much we can do to make a difference.

Do we then, transform into negative conformity-thinking to maneuver our own relevance in the face of a 'modernizing' world?

The funny thing is this. Whether you are a Christian or not, this androgyny is most perplexing, not to mention unsettling. So is there hope in this world or are the naysayers right in this one?
Nope, There is hope. We are not being idealistic at all. As Christians, it’s not about an ideology or I daresay religion. We don’t even believe in something, but we believe in Someone.

And this Someone is Jesus. He’s not a man, an ideology or a fools dream.

HE is the son of God.

The one who created the universe and the cosmos. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He knows the number of hairs on your head.

He is control.

And there my friends, lies our hope.

Hey guys, here's a re-cap on last week. For those of you who have attended the first service, Pastor Russell Evans took off as the Holy Spirit led during the service, and it felt like many chains were broken and many people set free. So here's a recap on some bible verses and points for you to meditate on.

Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

What is faith - Faith is an internal belief, a conviction outward through an external response. (I Might not be accurate)

Romans 1:17 - For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

7 Things to do to build your faith.

1) Praise every morning. God inhabits the voice of your Praises.
2) Grow your faith by studying the word of God. Hebrews 10:17 - Faith comes by hearing the word of God.
3)Be around people who would build and encourage your faith. Luke 5:17 - The Paralyze man and his 4 friends.

Hey champions! Hope you all had an awesome week. :) Pastor Russell's message yesterday was really powerful. Hopefully it empowered each and every one of you and that you were touched by God's presence. Remember to be around people who will always encourage and guide you and lift you up even when you are 'paralyzed' so that you are able to seek God and let our faith grow continuously! :D

Not just that, we must always remember that faith is a gift from our God, we have to learn to expand it, by getting into His presence through worship and reading the Word, and not just reading it, but STUDYING it!

Anyway, hope you guys remember about the Amazing Grace movie PlanetUni's planning to watch together this Thursday night. So try to make it ok people? They booked the whole cinema just for us. It's at Nova (near Borders and Safeway) on Lygon Street. The time is to be confirmed. Just check out the "Important Dates" section under "Profiles" soon. I will update it soon :)

Hope u guys are having a great time - the first or second week of uni. Work haven't started piling up, so now would be the best time for us to catch up and spend more quality time together!
